The recipe for making Caterpillar Cupcake Pops is quite easy. Amanda takes a 13×9 inches cake and mashes it in a bowl. She then adds half a cup of homemade cream cheese frosting and mixes it thoroughly in order to mould it in the desired shapes. When the mixture starts sticking together, she puts the bowl in the refrigerator for couple of hours, allowing it to set. After chilling the mixture, she shapes it in different sizes with the help of a small ice cream scoop and a large ice scoop. She rounds the balls with her hands and refrigerates them for a few hours. In the meantime, she melts the red and green candy melts in a microwave for 30 seconds and gives them a stir to mix evenly. She dips a lollipop stick into the green candy melt, followed by the small cupcake pop. She does the same with the rest of the cupcake pops and covers it with sprinkles. you can use any type of cake and frosting you like. it’s all a matter of preference. I made mine with yellow cake and chocolate frosting. my friends made yellow cake with regular (white?) frosting.. so it’s all up to you!
